Fenabrave raises its 2026 vehicle sales growth forecast to 12.8%

Auto dealers federation Fenabrave raised its forecast for growth in new vehicle sales in 2026 from 8.6% to 12.8%, which points to nearly 5.6 million units this year, Agência Brasil reports. From January to October, registrations reached 4,722,650 units, up 12.62% from a year earlier, the second-highest total in the series, behind only 2011.

Cars and light commercial vehicles rose 17.29% in the period and motorcycles 8.90%, while trucks and buses fell 4.18%. October registrations, at 489,119 units, were 0.85% below a year earlier, which Fenabrave attributes mainly to two fewer business days. Electrified vehicles reached 524,766 units and 20.54% of car and light commercial registrations.
