Brazil Minute

Editorial guidelines

What we publish

We publish business news about Brazil. We choose stories that are positive or neutral for doing business in the country, and we leave out the rest. This site is a selective view, and it does not try to cover everything that happens in Brazil.

How we write

Stories are short notes based on public reporting and official data. We state facts, attribute them, and add a short "Why it matters" note, which is our own view.

Sources

Every story names its sources and links to them. Most are in Portuguese.

Currency

We show amounts in US dollars. Reais are converted at the Central Bank PTAX rate on the report date, and the rate appears in the story's notes.

Photos

Photos are illustrative unless the caption says otherwise.

Advertising

Advertisers have no say over the news. Ads are labeled.

Not advice

Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.

Politics

We report politics as facts from official and public sources. We do not support any party or candidate, and the same rules apply to all of them.
