Brazilian agribusiness exports to the European Union reached US$ 12.21 billion from May to September, up 14.8% from a year earlier, Agência Gov reports, citing the Agriculture Ministry.

The agreement has applied provisionally since May 1. Meat rose 103.5% in value and the soy complex 34.2%. The agribusiness surplus with the bloc was US$ 10.54 billion, up 17%.

Why it mattersThese are the first months of data under the agreement, and they show where tariff cuts are reaching exporters first.
