All eight lots in Brazil's transmission auction were awarded on October 30, with estimated investment of US$ 1.64 billion and an average discount of 50.10%, Times Brasil reports.
Celeo, Cymi and Neoenergia won two lots each, and EDP and Cox one each. The portfolio covers 1,866 km of new lines in seven states.
Why it mattersForeign-controlled groups won most of the lots, a sign of continued appetite for Brazilian infrastructure.
