A CVM draft that would replace Resolution 88 would let rural producers and agricultural cooperatives raise money through investment crowdfunding, MundoCoop reports.
It also proposes higher fundraising limits and a role for traditional intermediaries. The consultation drew 52 submissions, and there is no date yet for the final version.
Why it mattersIf approved, the change would widen a capital-raising route for smaller Brazilian businesses.
